The LIEBHERR pipelayer RL 64 is another result of LIEBHERR's extensive experience with earthmoving- and pipe laying equipment and is currently the biggest (or better: heaviest) machine produced in the LIEBHERR factory in Telfs, Austria. It is among most innovative and safest pipe laying machinery currently available in the market. This machine in conceived for applications requiring lifting capacity of up to 90.800 kg / 200.179 lbs.

A few of the special features of the RL 64 are:

• Its asymmetric track frame, which is equipped with extremely wide track pads on the load side. This increases stability and maintains a low ground pressure even with load, ensuring safe working conditions on porous ditch edges.
• Its fully enclosed cabin with ROPS structure as a standard, which ensures a safe and comfortable working environment for the operator.

The machine's extremely low center of gravity due to the working components integrated in the track frame (hydraulic motor and final drive) and its high ground clearance provides the machine optimal terrain manouverability.

The heart of the RL 64 is a turbocharged LIEBHERR diesel engine with an output of 275 kW / 374 HP that complies with all common emission regulations. The sturdy LIEBHERR diesel engines with low emissions are very economical through their low specific fuel consumption.

The LIEBHERR RL 64 is also available as a conveyor belt shifter, a special conversion, mostly used in open pit mines. Please find more information about this special application here.
