Over the last year, MAATS has developed a new welding tractor, based on a LIEBHERR crawler loader. This succesor of the SR712B-M is called the SR714 LGP, where SR stands for Schweissraupe (welding tractor in German), 714 for the crawler loader it is based on (the PR714) and LGP for Low Ground Pressure, a result of the machines' wider tracks.
Typically for the SR714 LGP are the enclosed cabin wih ROPS structure and the generator that is powered by the machines engine. This means no seperate engine for the generator, meaning less parts, less maintenance and lower fuel consumption.
Customers can customize the machine to their own wishes with different types of HIAB cranes, different types of generators, a compressor and / or welding positions. The machine is provided with an enclosed cabinet for the welders (isolation for this cabinet optionally) and a lockable cabinet for tools.
The first machines are currently deployed on the Nedstream project in the Netherlands.
