In the 90's Maats detected a global need for rental presence, which is driven partly by the opportunities for major outsourcing contracts with major corporations, and developed this to one of the strongest and largest rental business in Europe. With the beginning of 2001 Maats has pooled its rental equipment together with the pipeline equipment of Technip Germany GmbH (formally Mannesmann Demag Energie- und Umwelt-technik) into the newly established rental company MAATS European Pipeline Rentals B.V. (MEPR B.V.).
MEPR B.V. is the leading Pipeline Equipment Rental Company in Europe and with its comprehensive and high quality rental fleet with more than 500 items among the largest in the world.
MEPR B.V. markets its rental fleet that consist of specialized pipeline equipment for the construction of pipelines from 6" to 120" by its headquarters in Goor (The Netherlands) and its branch office in Datteln (Germany).
In its rental pool, MEPR B.V. holds machineries of major manufacturers like Liebherr, Caterpillar, Komatsu and CRC-Evans, such as pipe layers, welding tractors and bending machines as well as all other equipment that is necessary for the construction of oil-, gas- and water pipelines.
To locally meet our worldwide customers demands, Maats Pipeline Equipment has established some regional companies such as MAATS Insaat Makinalari Ticaret Limited Sirketi in Ankara (Turkey) and PT. MEPR in Batam (Indonesia).
